Last Friday, February 24th, Interactors volunteered at the Second Harvest of Silicon Valley to sort and distribute food to people in need. Second Harvest of Silicon Valley’s mission is to ensure “that anyone who needs a healthy meal can get one”, and relates to Interact’s Community project theme, Cultivating our Communities.
Second Harvest of Silicon Valley is an inspiring organization that uses the service of volunteers to benefit those in need of nutritious meals. Notably, last year dedicated volunteers accounted for over two-hundred thousand hours of service to Second Harvest of Silicon Valley. Participate in Monta Vista Interact’s future volunteer events to also be able to contribute to our communities.
