About Us

Monte Vista High School’s  Interact Club works to serve the community under the guidance of Rotary International—the world’s oldest and largest community service organization.

By participating in Monte Vista’s Interact Club, members are given the opportunity to contribute to global service projects and therefore make a significant impact in poor countries throughout Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

Additionally, highly active members will be considered for Rotary’s Ambassadorial Scholarship program as seniors.  This is the world’s largest privately funded international scholarship program for university-level students.  In 2005-2006, they awarded 731 scholarships totaling approximately 14.9 million dollars.

Today, Rotary has expanded to over 32,000 clubs in 168 different countries, with over 1.2 million members. 10,000 of Rotary’s clubs are Interact, making Interact the most widespread and influential high school service organization in the world.
